Detra Lab - Service Spine Modules

The service spine module is the superstructure upon which all other Detra-Lab components rely.

The spine is fixed to the floor or wall or can extend from floor to ceiling.

The lower section of spine can contain drip cups and associated waste drainage pipework. Gas, water and electrical socket outlets can also be fitted to the lower section when overbench storage is not required.

Often a peninsular or island bench arrangement will require high level M & E services or storage. When specified the overbench service spine could include electrical trunking, gas and water outlets. In addition open shelf top cabinets (as shown), glazed top cabinets or fixed Trespa reagent shelving can be added.

End sink or plain worktop modules can be fitted on the ends of the service spine module. As with other Detra-Lab furniture components, end sinks can be removed at a later date with minimal disruption to the function of the laboratory.

Worktop modules on the opposite side of the central spine can be removed or added without the need for specialist skills or tools. Such flexibility provides clear and readily accessible equipment space which otherwise could not be achieved with conventional laboratory furniture arrangements after installation.

M & E services remain contained with the fixed central service spine and are accessed via removable cover panels.

A plinth line detail can be provided (as shown), this allows the service spine to be fully enclosed down to floor level and sealed should your specific requirements dictate.
